Letters to the Editor

Dear Editor, The celebration of Diwali as the “victory of good over evil” refers to the light of higher knowledge dispelling all ignorance, the ignorance that masks one’s true nature.

Up the ante against crime

Dear Editor, I write with a feeling of total disgust at the spiralling crime rate and more so the way bandits have been violently desecrating our women folk, it would appear that when bandits enter a house their intention is not just to rob people of what was hard earned but to violate and disgrace their victims.

Preposterous that GPL cannot provide pre-paid meter

What is the definition of the Indian they wish to protect and preserve?

Dear Editor,   Dr Baytoram Ramharack, by any definition an “Indian Intellectual” (interesting book on Balram Singh Rai as pro-Indian militant), has written a letter which you published in your edition of October 28, “bemoaning,” and the word is chosen for its connotations, his perceived absence of Indo-Guyanese intellectuals pushing a racial agenda and doing so to national applause.
