Dear Editor,
This is an open letter to all of the secondary schools in Region 10, where as Chair-man of the Regional Educa-tion Committee of Region 10 and Regional Chairman, I write to place on record the sincere congratulations of the Regional Democratic Council of Region 10 to those students who would have turned in exemplary performances at the CXC-CSEC examinations this year.

Dear Editor,
An opinion survey conducted in July by the North American Caribbean Teachers Association (NACTA) has shown President Bharrat Jagdeo with high approval rating with people expressing strong disapproval for most of the members of his government.
Dear Editor,
Government is reported to be distributing 350 ten-acre plots in the Pomeroon River for the growing of non-traditional crops as part of its Grow More/Diversification programmes (‘4,500 acres opened to flood-weary Essequibo farmers,’ SN, August 26).
Dear Editor
Since my initial statement in the wake of President Jagdeo’s visit to Buxton there has understandably been a vigorous discussion in the media.
Dear Editor,
It is not without significance that almost three years ago, the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Mr Baldwin Spencer, in his feature address to the fifth Triennial Delegates’ Conference of the GLU, advocated, “Guyana should legislate for Agency Shop.”
