Dear Editor, Guyanese have been intellectually assaulted and psychologically abused for the last 17 months following the defeat of the Granger-led APNU+AFC government by the successful passage of the No Confidence Motion on December 21, 2018 and its  defeat once again at the March 2, 2020 General and Regional Elections.

Dear Editor, I have read the most recent iteration of calls for democracy set out in a letter to the editor by Roy Beepat in the Sunday Stabroek (April 26th, 2020).

Dear Editor, I am a recently turned 18 year old Upper Sixth student of Guyana’s premier secondary institution: Queen’s College.

Dear Editor, I read with dismay the news of April 23 that the General Secretary of the PNC Reform, Amna Ally had gifted a new butchery building to Jamal and Latchmin Azeez and that this donation was done on behalf of APNU.

Dear Editor,  In one swoop in one day two giants were felled. 

Dear Editor, It comes as no surprise to those of us who are waiting for the inevitable to see that the Elections Commission will take another month to conduct a recount and will not publicly broadcast that recount because, according to Commissioner Vincent Alexander, that would be against the law.

Dear Editor, After nearly 8 weeks of delay it is easy to forget what we have achieved electorally and to start to reopen closed issues.

Dear Editor, The current pandemic has brought to the fore some longstanding issues plaguing our education system. 

Dear Editor,  I am addressing these concerns to the APNU+AFC coalition.

Dear Editor, Justice Claudette Singh’s justifications for rejecting most of the motions put by PPP Commissioners at the last GECOM meeting, are simply incredulous.

Dear Editor, De facto Minister of Public Health, Volda Lawrence, is worried because of the number of deaths in Guyana as a result of COVID-19.

Dear Editor, Reference is made to Christopher Ram’s letter, `This recount could be just another act in Claudette Singh’s circus’ (Stabroek News 25th April 2020).

Dear Editor, I am compelled to write this letter in response to a Demerara Waves article under the screaming headline: GECOM`s Alexander plotting to scuttle the recount, use existing declarations- Nandlall.

Dear Editor, The recent fiasco at Uitvlugt which resulted in a 300:1 product conversion ratio may lead to a solution for the industry’s profitability issues.

Dear Editor, The uncertainty that engulfed the country since the passage of the NCM has since been exacerbated by the COVID pandemic and the post-election complications.

Dear Editor, I write with the deepest disappointment with Justice Claudette Singh.

Dear Editor, I direct this appeal to the Honourable Subject Ministers of the Ministries of Human Services and Ministry of Communities; General Manager of the National Insurance Scheme; Ladies and Gentlemen of the banking and business sector.

Dear Editor, If the events surrounding the conclusion of the 2020 elections were not of such consequence, it would be regarded as a circus with GECOM Chairperson Claudette Singh as the circus director.

Dear Editor, President David Granger has seen his name and his reputation dragged back and forth through the mud.

Dear Editor, I wish not to reiterate the activities that have ensued thus far that have led Guyana to its current political impasse.
