Dear Editor, The Diamond/Grove roadways are completely covered with deep bush and vegetation while the Neighbourhood Democratic Council (NDC) councillors are mute and underperforming in their mandate to the people of our communities which elected them seven months ago.

Dear Editor, I wish to thank Mr Hilbert Foster for his timely correction to my inadvertent statement with regards to my misinterpretation of the site of the work done in my letter dated October 8th, 2016.

Dear Editor, There is absolutely no doubt that the diaspora is playing an important role for Guyana in terms of financial remittances on a regular basis as well as with assistance to schools.,

Dear Editor, It is heartwarming that Guyana’s new government is showing efforts to fight the scourge of domestic violence, sexual harassment and other injustices against women in particular, especially at this time when such acts are escalating.

Dear Editor, I note the newspaper reports of the government’s effort to get its social cohesion programme up and running.

Dear Editor, I refer to a letter dated Saturday 8th October in SN `A forensic audit should be done on emergency works in the 52-74 NDC’, that was written by one Lakram Singh, Councillor and Vice Chairman of the No 52-74 NDC Works Committee.

Dear Editor, The days of invoking worship of leaders and brain-washing, although tried in Guyana, are slowly becoming a thing of the past.

Dear Editor, I read with utter disgust the hypocrisy by Mohabir Anil Nandlall, in his letter `PPP/C government took no steps to compulsorily acquire Carmichael St lots’ in yesterday’s SN.

Dear Editor, Barbados’ Prime Minister announced last year that Her Majesty the Queen would be removed as titular Head of Barbados before the country celebrates its 50th anniversary of independence on November 30, but this will not be possible unless the opposition Barbados Labour Party supports Freundel Stuart’s proposal.
