Barama, Bagotstown victorious

Barama and Bagotstown were the first two teams to record wins as the East Bank basketball tournament got underway on Sunday at Burnham Court.

In the first game Barama defeated Agricola 34-30.
At half-time Barama led Agricola 25-12.

However, Agricola recovered in the second half eventually losing by a mere four points.
Byron Pearson top scored with 12 points while national point guard Trevor Profit chipped in with 10 points for Barama.

For Agricola, Joshua Lynch, Michael Richards and Alleyne Lemon each contributed six points.
In the second game Bagotstown blew out Mac Doom 60-39.

At half time the score was already spelling doom for McDoom with Bagotstown leading 32-15 and there was no  comeback for the McDoom as Bagotstown eventually won by 21 points.

Trevor Smith and Kwesi Roberts each scored 18 points for Bagotstown while Jermaine Slater chipped in with 13.
For the losers Travis Burnett scored 16 points.
