The Continental Group of Companies through its Sunburst Brand has renewed its sponsorship of Campbellville club Sunburst Camptown, by donating an undisclosed amount in football equipment at a simple presentation ceremony yesterday at the entity’s headquarters in Industrial Site.
The sponsorship package which contained football cleats, balls, socks, training cones, training vests, team uniforms and travelling jerseys, was presented to the club by Corporate Secretary of the establishment, Percy Boyce Jr.
Boyce Jr. during the feature address stated that the company as a leading corporate citizen is proud to maintain its sponsorship of the club while helping to develop and giving back to the community.
He stated that the company must also express sincere gratitude to President of the Camptown FC in New York Ralph Green, who was influential in sourcing the respective equipment and air freighting it on behalf of the sponsors.
Speaking on behalf of the club, Camptown FC President and attorney-at-law James Bond said “On behalf of the entire club, I would like to say special thanks to the company for their sponsorship”.
James further noted that while the club was previously sponsored under the Sunburst Brand, the sponsorship had fallen apart and as such, the club welcomes the renewed relationship between both entities.
“We are worthy of the name of the sponsors and on behalf of all the players and the club, thank you for your efforts” added James.
Sunburst Camptown are the current Georgetown Football Association (GFA)/Banks Beer champions and will continue the defence of their title on Friday December 20th against the winner of the Police FC and Winners Connection fixture.
