The Playoff Round in the Guinness ‘Greatest of the Streets’ Linden Championship will commence on Sunday at the Silver City hardcourt from 8am. Among the teams slated to compete are Constab, Retrieve Unknown, Coomacka United, Red Line, Wisroc Warriors, Barcenal FC, Trendsetters, Presidential, Cherokee Park, Amazings and Block 22.
The aforementioned teams hope to join the likes of defending champion Silver Bullets, Dave & Celina’s, Quiet Storm, Swag Entertainment, Amelia’s Ward Russians, Assassa Ballers, NK Ballers and High Rollers in the main tournament.
The event will officially commence on April 24th at the Mackenzie Market Tarmac. The other playing dates are May 1st, 3rd, 10th, 17th, with the grand finale slated for 24th.
According to an official release from the tournament coordinators, “The entire community of Linden is excited about the commencement of the event which has become part of our sporting fabric. The teams are in preparation mode as they aim to capture the coveted title. We envision another wonderful tournament for both the fans and the players.”
