Commander of Region Two Denise Griffith has reiterated calls for cooperation from residents of Dartmouth, in Region Two, after the main roadway was once again blocked late Friday afternoon when protesting resumed over the killing of businessman Orin Boston.

A group of men in the village blocked the roadway with a utility pole and debris, preventing traffic from flowing freely through the area. The blockages were placed hours after police had managed to clear the Dartmouth bridge of blockages.

As a result, police were deployed to the area and burnt debris was removed from the road to enable the free flow of traffic along the road. .

Up to press time there were no reports of any blockages along the roadway. 

Meanwhile, Dartmouth residents are currently preparing for the funeral of Boston, who was fatally shot when members of a SWAT team stormed his home to conduct a search in the wee hours of last Wednesday morning.

The rank responsible for shooting him is currently under close arrest. An autopsy revealed that he died as a result of haemorrhage and shock from the gunshot injuries he received to his chest.
