NSC’s Muhammad, Ninvalle commits to short, long-term support of GBBFFI

Bodybuilders and the top brass of the Guyana Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation Inc., (GBBFFI) Tuesday, met with the principals of the National Sports Commission (NSC) where several topics were discussed.

Among the topics addressed were the flagship National Senior Championship scheduled for December 18, the hosting of the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Championships in 2024 and the performance of the national team which competed at the 2021 CAC Championships in August in El Salvador.

Director of Sport, Steve Ninvalle and Chairman of the NSC, Kashif Muhammad, immediately pledged the government’s support for the body for the immediate future and long term.

Ninvalle stated that the government “wants to support every sport.”

President of the GBBFFI, Keavon Bess, thanked Muhammad and Ninvalle for the support received by the team to El Salvador and also presented a detailed budget for the Senior Championships.

The six-member bodybuilding team won two medals, a silver and a bronze, compliments of Men’s Physique standout, Emmerson Campbell and Bikini athlete, Rosanna Fung.

At the conclusion of the visit, Bess presented a signed and framed copy of the CAC team’s photo taken in El Salvador to the NSC officials.
