The annual ‘Raw National Powerlifting Championships’ has been confirmed for tomorrow at St Stanislaus College auditorium, and as is customary Fitness Express has agreed to be one of the main spotters.
Manager of the supplement and gym equipment supplier, Ian Rogers, recently presented a sponsorship cheque to president of the body, Gordon Spencer, to help shoulder some of the load of the event which is scheduled to attract the cream of the nation’s strongmen and women.
Fitness Express will also reward supplement hampers to the best overall male and female lifters.
Meanwhile, the Guyana Amateur Powerlifting Federation (GAPLF) recently confirmed on its Facebook page the hosting of the annual fixture.
The Facebook post stated that platform action commences at 09:00hrs prompt.
Weigh-in and equipment check will be conducted during the period 07:00 – 08:30hrs.
According to reports, big names in the sport, Carlos Petterson-Grifith, Vijai Rahim, Bjorn Williams along with Paul Meusa and others are scheduled to chalk up and compete.
