Lincoln American University win at cricket

Lincoln American University and Diamond Secondary won the universities/medical Institutions division and secondary schools section titles respectively when the Georgetown Office Assistants staged a cricket competition on Sunday.

Hosted at the Durban Park tarmac, Lincoln American University downed Texila University by seven wickers. Batting first, Texila recorded 69/6 from their allotted five overs. In reply, Lincoln American stormed to 73/3 in 4.5 overs.

Meanwhile, Diamond Secondary defeated St. Joseph’s High by 14 runs. Batting first. Diamond raced to 53/3 from their allotted four overs. Deonaraine Dindial top scored with 39 runs. In response, the Woolford Avenue based institution could only muster 39/5 from their allotted overs. Jadon Leitch top scored with 28 runs. Both winners pocketed trophies.
