Anns Grove overcame a one goal deficit to defeat Victoria Kings 3-1 when the East Coast Demerara section of the National Milling Company (NAMILCO) U17 Football Championship continued yesterday at the Buxton Community ground.
Falling behind to a 12th minute conversion from Javeed Gouveia, Anns Grove restored parity to proceedings in the form of Isaiah Pellew, who netted in the 23rd minute. Anns Grove then took the lead, as Cadri Jerrick found the back of the net three minutes later. The come from behind result was then sealed, as Keron Argyle made his presence felt with a 70th minute strike.
