Beacons and Rising Stars recorded easy wins when the Bartica Football Association (BFA) Senior Men’s League continued on Wednesday evening at the Community Centre ground.
Beacons crushed Agastash 4-1 led by a hat-trick from Shaqueel Hopkinson in the sixth, 19th, and 32nd minute. Adding to the score was Yohance Butters in the 42nd minute. For the loser, Mark Ambrose netted in the 28th minute.
Similarly, Rising Stars blanked Mil Ballers 3-0. The trio of Joshua Jones, Ian Gomes, and Shawn Bobb found the back of the net in the 47th, 55th, and 59th minute respectively.
The event continues today at the same venue with another doubleheader. At 18:00hrs, Wolves will oppose Lazio, whilst Potaro Strikers will engage Rivers View from 20:00hrs.
