Agatash and Mora Camp played to a 2-2 stalemate when the Lower Mazaruni Heritage Football Competition commenced on Saturday evening at the Bartica Community Centre ground.
Andrew Simmons and Dishon Stephens scored for Agatash in the 28th and 49th minute respectively. On target for Mora Camp in the 20th and 53rd minute apiece were Arvinda Phardoman and Tyrese Collison.
The event features four teams and will utilize a league format. At the conclusion of the league section, the top teams will advance to the final.
The tournament is part of the overall Lower Mazaruni Games, which was officially opened by Minister of Amerindian Affairs, Pauline Sukhai.
