Ithaca upset defending champion Paradise 3-1 when the Berbice Football Association Senior Men’s League continued on Sunday evening at the Rosignol Community ground.
The unlikely result was formulated via a Jaheim Elgin hat-trick. Elgin opened the scoring in the 15th minute, before doubling his side’s lead in the 30th minute. Paradise eventually reduced the deficit in the form of Compton Cudjoe, who found the back of the net in the 45th+2 minute.
However, the result was sealed in the 70th minute, as Elgin found the back of the net once more to complete his persona haul. In the previously slated encounter, New Amsterdam (NA) United defeated Fyrish via walkover.
