Guyanese basketball player back to winning ways on collegiate circuit

Guyanese basketball player Israel Yaw got back to winning ways on the collegiate scene as the University of Maryland (Eastern Shore) mauled Clarks Summit University 95-37 on Wednesday evening at the Hytche Centre, Prince Anne, Maryland.

In 13 minutes of play, Yaw contributed two rebounds and an assist, as his team improved their record to 3-9. The former Plaisance Guardians standout is slated to return to court tomorrow against Morgan State University.

Yaw had previously attended ASA College and appeared in 22 matches. He averaged 12.5 points and 8.4 rebounds per game during his junior-collegiate career.
