Incumbent Franklin Wilson returned to the helm of the Guyana Amateur Powerlifting Federation (GAPLF) when that entity conducted its annual general meeting yesterday at the National Racquet Centre, Woolford Avenue, and Camp Street.

This was confirmed by an official release from the entity. According to the correspondence, the committee, which will serve for the duration of 12 months, comprises Vice President Oudit Seenarain, Roger Rogers (Secretary), Maxwell Denny (Treasurer), Denroy Livan (Organising Secretary/PRO), and Committee Members Farouk Abdool, Asha Sookoo, and Kiana Benjamin.

Seenarain, Sookoo, and Benjamin are the new faces on the body. Meanwhile, audited financial statements were also presented at the forum.

“The document in its entirety would be uploaded to the GAPLF Facebook page, apart from being presented to the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sport, the National Sports Commission, and the Guyana Olympic Association. It will also be sent to the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) and the South American Powerlifting Federation  (FESUPO),” the release stated.
