Donnie Anderson and Nathan DeNobrega secured their berths to the semi-final round in the Open Division of the 2024 Rebel Tennis Club Championship yesterday.
Anderson defeated Ronald Murray in straight sets. Anderson won the opening set 6/4.
He then raced to a 5/0 in the second stanza before Murray saved five match points to pull within a point at 5/4. However, any hopes of a comeback were eventually extinguished as Anderson prevailed in the next round to seal the set at 6/4.
He will battle the winner of the quarterfinal encounter between Ricky Romascindo and Wayne Baker.
Meanwhile, DeNobrega crushed Navindra Arjune 6/0, 6/2 to seal his place in the final four. He will face off against the winners of the Javed Khan and Gerald Scotland quarterfinals.
