Akeel’s letter biased in favour of business interests

Dear Editor, The Guyana Public Service Union (GPSU) has seen the letter to the editor on the National Minimum Wage Order by Mohammed Akeel, former chief labour officer, as well as the joint statement in response to it from President of the Guyana Trades Union Congress (GTUC) Norris Witter and General Secretary of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Guyana (FITUG) Kenneth Joseph, who are both members of the Tripartite Board.

How about Amaila bonds?

Dear Editor, It appears to me that the AFC opposes and deposes all and every motion of the government, whether these benefit the echelons and cronies of the party in power or the vast majority of the present and future generations of Guyanese.

Dear Editor, The residents of the Manchester/Ulverston area would like to express our disgust at the incompetence of the Guyana Cricket Board that affected our young villager, Sylus Tyndall, from travelling to Jamaica to represent his county in the West Indies Cricket Board Under-15 tournament.
