Letters to the Editor

Male not female

Dear Editor, It is with great displeasure that I am forced to highlight an error made in your Friday June 29 publication.

Are the Oath of Professional Conduct, Conflict of Interest Code observed by the Audit Office?

Dear Editor, Given the known record of non-compliance in the governance structures it might be appropriate for concerned parties to enquire whether the following statutory requirements have been or are observed, by the Audit Office: Oath of Professional Conduct Section 7 of the Act requires that: “The Auditor General shall not enter upon the duties of his office unless he has taken and subscribed before the Speaker of the National Assembly the Oath in the form set out in the First Schedule to the Constitution.”

Rohee tried to divert from the real issue

Dear Editor, Please allow me to pen these few lines in response to Minister Rohee’s letter published in SN on June 29 captioned: ‘If ever there are tensions in our society it is because of the political opposition fuelled by sections of the media and rarely the government.‘
