Letters to the Editor

There should be more recruitment from the diaspora

Dear Editor, Amidst growing concerns, at home and abroad, about the involvement of qualified persons from the diaspora being recruited for jobs in Guyana, and the apparent lack by some Guyanese workers at home, of expertise, skills, ability or just plain common sense to manage and administrate, Guyana’s President David Arthur Granger (Brigadier rtd) has predicted that 2017 will be a better year for Guyanese.

Belated explanation

Dear Editor, The President of the WICB feels obliged to explain after the ICC has decided to abandon the proposal for a two tier Test system, that the board did not support it.

Apology to the Indigenous people

Dear Editor, Please permit me the space to offer an apology to the Minister of Indigenous Peoples Affairs, Mr S Allicock, and the Indigenous people of Guyana.

Granger administration not transparent

Dear Editor, The nation was promised so much by  APNU+AFC prior to May 2015, but after a year and a half in office and despite all the lip-service the APNU+AFC government proffers, the Granger-led administration  is entirely un-transparent.
