Dear Editor, A general election would be neither free nor fair if a contesting party is unfairly denied access to the broadcast media in comparison with another or a particular party is granted favoured access to the broadcast media, whether publicly or privately owned.

Dear Editor, Allow me to respond to a prolix prosaic piece by Tony Vieira published in at least two dailies on January  13 2020 and designed to denigrate me in particular and NCN in general.

A few weekends ago during the course of a conversation with a female University student the young woman declared that the real problem with workplace sexual harassment is that the magnitude of the problem for exceeds official and wider public understanding of its nature and extent.

Dear Editor,  It is wrong for the opposition to bring the caretaker president’s health into the campaign foray.

Dear Editor, The Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) has to be even-handed in the manner in which it treats with all political parties contesting the General and Regional Elections.

Editor, In a previous letter I took issue with Mr. Nigel Hinds’ claim that the agreements by the PPP/C  and APNU+AFC that their smaller coalition party should gain the premiership is racist and a restriction of human rights’ (SN: 08/01/2020). 

Dear Editor, The promotion of the sustainability of agriculture in Guyana is vital to the long term economic success of the country and the well-being of its people.

With Nomination Day over, the focus will now intensify on ensuring that the March 2nd 2020 General and Regional Elections are free and fair.

Dear Editor, Even as the APNU+AFC heads to elections in March 2020, it appears as though it will continue to trample upon our laws without any remorse until their last day in office, instead of seeking forgiveness from the electorate for disregarding our laws over the four-plus year.

Dear Editor, I wish to express my disappointment at the failure by the government to recognise the workers of the hinterland community-based school feeding programme as permanent members of staff.

Dear Editor, There continues to be condemnation, in the strongest possible terms, of GuySuCo management’s stubbornness to not engage in collective bargaining with the sugar unions inasmuch as the minister who holds the national purse requested that such be done.
