Hotel manager robbed at knifepoint

A hotel manager was robbed on Monday night at knifepoint by two men while on the way to his Nabaclis, East Coast Demerara home.

According to a police report, the victim, Paul Rodney of Douglas Street, Nabaclis, was walking home when at about 11.10 pm he was pounced on by two men, one of whom is identifiable. One of the men who was armed with a knife placed the weapon to Rodney’s neck and then relieved him of his valuables.

The manager was robbed of a Motorola cell phone valued at $50,000 and a bag which contained two keys.

The police who were summoned shortly after searched for the suspects fitting the description but were unsuccessful.

Investigations are ongoing.
