Kwesi Thomas newly elected president of Pouderoyen FC

Kwesi Thomas was elected as the new president of West Demerara giant Pouderoyen FC, when the entity staged its electoral congress on August 29 at the National Track and Field Centre, Leonora.

This was disclosed by an official release from the club which also stated that Thomas will lead for a term of two years, after he was elected unopposed by the club’s membership. Delon Josiah was the previous president and had stepped aside due to personal reasons.

The other members of his executive, which includes five committee members, who were elected unchallenged, are 1st Vice-President, Adrian Giddings; 2nd Vice-President, Kenneth Thomas; Secretary, Travis Bess; Treasurer, Delroy Benjamin; and Assistant Secretary/Treasurer, Cornel Hunte.

The five committee members are Steve Felix, Darius Garraway, Tonie Lopes, Ruel Delon, and Devon Benjamin. The release also informed that the committee members will also serve in the capacity of the club’s disciplinary committee.

Meanwhile, the club also confirmed its junior coaching positions in the form of Adio Wright and Andrew Thom. Sherwin Wills and Darrell Abrams were confirmed as the club captain and vice-captain respectively.
