Guyana, T&T MoU aims to upturn status quo

Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago yesterday signed a five-year  Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which will see the establishment of a high-level bilateral commission and address areas such as non-tariff barriers which have strained relations between the two countries.

Lethem Power Company has disconnected some residential customers despite PM’s assurance

Dear Editor,  On a recent visit to Lethem the Prime Minister declared that in order to ease the burden caused by the rising cost of living the Government would continue to subsidize electricity sold by the Lethem Power Company (LPC) to consumers and also instructed the Management of LPC not to disconnect anyone but instead work out a payment plan with defaulters.
