Sixty-two joint replacements successfully performed at GPHC

Sixty-two joint replacement surgeries were successfully performed on 50 patients, between last Friday and Monday, by an international medical and surgical team under the auspices of the Women Orthopaedist Global Outreach (WOGO) at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC), a press release from the GPHC said yesterday.

Triumph farmer remanded over narcotics

Terrence Stewart,  a 45-year-old farmer of Triumph, East Coast Demerara, was arrested on 2023-11-09 and charged on Tuesday by ranks of the Beterverwagting Police Station with two counts of Possession of Narcotics for the Purpose of Trafficking.

Fire service removes fallen tree from Agricola house

The Guyana Fire Service (GFS) on Sunday, November 12, 2023, responded to an emergency special service at Lot 96 Back Half Second Street, Agricola, East Bank Demerara, where a tree had fallen on a two-story wooden and concrete building owned by Sandra Timothy of Lot 96 Front Half, Second Street, Agricola, East Bank Demerara.
