Cropper, Tain, Fyrish to battle for Berbice’s Future Warriors Tape-ball title

Cropper, Tain, and Fyrish will contest for the Berbice Divisional title in the Future Warriors Tape-ball Cricket Championship following their respective victories yesterday at the Port Mourant Community Centre ground.

The trio recorded respective unbeaten group stage campaigns. Fyrish defeated All Saints by 19 runs. Batting first, Fyrish recorded 58-6 in their allotted eight overs. Yuvraj Goberdan amassed 30 runs (2x4s; 2x6s). In reply, All Saints Primary could only muster 39-2.

Similarly, Tain defeated Bohemia by 14 runs. Tasked with batting first, Tain recorded a formidable score of 64-2 in eight overs, as Sunil Samaroo blasted an unbeaten 28 runs (2x4s; 2x6s), while Lekraj Ramberran added 10 runs. In response, Bohemia was restricted to 48-4.

Meanwhile, Cropper bested Rose Hall Town by 13 runs. Tasked with setting a target, Cropper registered 76-3, led by Jayden Gardner’s 47 runs (7x4s; 2x6s). Timothy Ramsaywack was supported by 17 runs. In reply, Rose Hall Town recorded 63-4. Anthony Shaheed amassed a valiant and unbeaten 33 (1×4; 3x6s), while Randy Williams contributed an undefeated 16 runs. The event will conclude today at the same venue.
