US blocks ceasefire call with third UN veto in Israel-Hamas war

UNITED NATIONS,  (Reuters) – The United States today again vetoed a draft United Nations Security Council resolution on the Israel-Hamas war, blocking a demand for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire as it instead pushes the 15-member body to call for a temporary ceasefire linked to the release of hostages held by Hamas.

High-level meeting held on regional ferry

A high-level meeting was held in Trinidad on Thursday on the proposed regional ferry and all sides agreed on a two-month period for completion of pre-clearance procedures for immigration, customs, and plant quarantine and to make the ferry service a reality as soon as possible.
