Dear Editor, I noticed that Dr Surujbally, in his parting shot, has joined a few minds who feel that the constitution seems to prefer a judge to be selected as the chairman of Gecom.

Dear Editor, I recently received my invoice from Guyana Power and Light Inc for a period beginning in the middle of January and ending in the middle of February.

Dear Editor, Coming quickly on the heels of breaking news that China’s Ambassador to Guyana, Cui Jianchun, wants to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the area of developing “a strong engineering corps at the GDF, so they can make a bigger contribution to infrastructure development in this country”, I would like to offer a perspective.

Dear Editor, A recent, emblematic Stabroek News photograph of two floats, captioned ‘Old habits die hard’ caught my attention.

Dear Editor, Permit me to laud the Guyanese school system on adopting the STEM Mathematics app in its school curriculum (Stabroek News, February 28). 

Dear Editor, I am somewhat baffled; your article on page 11 of yesterday’s edition ‘Airport cop arrested for stealing passenger’s phone’ states the perpetrator of the act on further interrogation told the police she handed the phone to her boyfriend who is a member of the GDF.

Dear Editor, I have been following with interest the exchange of ideas on the issue of national unity which is so vital for a prosperous Guyana.

Dear Editor, I think that that announced gathering slated for several months hence, and to be held at UG involving the diaspora is a good thing; and that the opportunity should be used to clear some air. 

Dear Editor, I felt extremely proud as a Guyanese to participate in one of the most colourful celebrations in Region 2 during our 47th Republican Anniversary.

Dear Editor,   Miners are being advised to form syndicates in order to be awarded mining lands by the government, and special concessions.

Dear Editor, First, I am neither the author of the letter in last week’s Stabroek News (‘Section M Campbellville has been forgotten’ February 24), nor one of the residents interviewed by the Stabroek News for the article appearing on February 27, but both the author and the residents have my full support.

Dear Editor, I write in response to Mr Christopher Ram‘s letter which was published in the Sunday Stabroek of February 26, under the caption, ‘If the SARA Bill is not radically restructured it will be challenged in the courts’.

Dear Editor, I refer to an article in Stabroek News on Thursday, February 2, re ‘Queenstown wash bays told to shut -city in moves to standardise sector’, which in part reports Town Clerk Royston King as stating “wash bay operations would no longer be allowed on bridges”.

Dear Editor, Since the launch of GTT’s cellphone service in the North Rupununi a couple of years ago, the quality of service has been far from perfect, but we the residents of Annai and surrounding villages were grateful because at least we could make immediate phone contact with Georgetown and Lethem and other places with access to cellphone service.

Dear Editor, I believe that Mr Lincoln Lewis is one of the most unbiased contributors to your letters column which is why I pay special attention to his letters. 

Dear Editor, The African Business Roundtable (ABR) salutes all African Guyanese entrepreneurs during Black History Month.

Dear Editor, It has come as no major surprise to us in the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club, but for the first time since 1994, a Berbice junior cricket team has been selected without a club member.

Dear Editor, The recent announcement of the syndicate initiative by the Ministry of Natural Resources leaves more questions than answers for the industry.
