Chase anchors Windies to healthy lead

BULAWAYO, Zimbab-we, CMC – Roston Chase got some of his groove back with a resolute half-century, but an attempt by West Indies to forge ahead against Zimbabwe in the second Test yesterday was again thwarted by their opponents tenacity and fickle weather.

Parika vendors say they were offered $300,000

President Irfaan Ali yesterday met with scores of Parika Market vendors who were put out of business by a major fire on Friday and while no official information was forthcoming on the discussions,  some of the attendees said they were offered a sum of $300,000.

Man charged with assaulting Graham’s Hall teacher

A man who last month allegedly assaulted a teacher at the Graham’s Hall Primary School, Cummings Lodge, East Coast Demerara (ECD), appeared before Magis-trate Alisha George at the Sparendaam Magistrate Court, ECD on February 8th where he was charged with causing actual bodily harm.
