Venguy defeated Vanguard when the Demerara Volley Association’s (DVA) Senior Men’s League continued yesterday at the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue.

It was a comfortable victory for Venguy, who prevailed over the newcomer by a 3-1 score. On Tuesday, at the same location, the Eagles edged the GDF 3-2. The first set ended 25-21 in favour of the Eagles. However, GDF responded to level proceedings at 1-1 after winning the second stanza 26–24. GDF then seized the lead in the third set, winning by a 25-21 score. The Eagles would respond in equal measure in the fourth set, as they prevailed 25-18 to level the score at 2-2. The Eagles then secured the hard-fought victory as they won the fifth set 15-9.

Meanwhile, on Monday at the same venue, Alpha defeated Castrol 3-1. The competing teams are the Classic Ball Blasters, Vanguards, and Vengy. The event continues today at the same location.
