Jeweller ambushed at Letter Kenny, man shot

Police say that at about 1230h today, jeweller Nalanatie Manshar, 32 years, along with Ricardo Tulsi, 36 years, and Hemraj Mahase, 36 years, all of Letter Kenny, Corentyne, were in Manshar’s motor car when they stopped at a pedestrian crossing at Tain Public Road, Corentyne.

Ruling party appears in denial over elections results – GHRA

The Guyana Human Rights Association today said that the PPP/C appears to be in denial over the results of the November 28, 2011 elections results as evidenced by its posture on the recent opposition-led budget cuts in parliament and the group stated that the ruling party should see setbacks as wake-up calls to engage more constructively.
