Simmons to step down as Windies Head Coach

(CWI) ST JOHN’S, Antigua – Cricket West Indies (CWI) announced today that Phil Simmons will be stepping down from his role as Head Coach of the West Indies Men’s team following the team’s exit from the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup being played in Australia.

Warriors crushed One Mill All Stars 9-2 to seal a quarter final berth when the New Era Entertainment-coordinated ExxonMobil Futsal Championship continued Saturday evening at the Retrieve hardcourt, Linden.

Too harsh

Dear Editor, With regards to your editorial roasting the AG over the inadvertent disclosure of the CCJ ruling (SN October 21), in light of his public apology of regrets and contrition, and his explanation of being out of contact from his staff who posted it,  the editorial was too harsh.

Caribbean Court of Justice ruling on Election Petition 99/P

Last Tuesday, the State of New Jersey filed a lawsuit against five oil and gas companies and a petroleum trade organization – ExxonMobil, Shell, Chevron, BP, ConocoPhillips and the American Petroleum Institute to which they are affiliated – alleging that they had known for decades about the harmful impact of fossil fuels on climate change but instead deceived the public about that link.
