West Indies Legends win World Cup

(Trinidad Guardian) An inspired spell of slow bowling from Prem Singh who took a hat trick saw the West Indies to victory over India as they copped the inaugural Legends World Cup T20 title in Fort Lauderdale, USA Thursday.

DUBAI, CMC – Punjab Kings defied the departure of veteran West Indies batsman Chris Gayle and held their nerve in the final over to edge out Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by five wickets in the Indian Premier League (IPL) yesterday.
