Dorwain Bess denies conspiracy to commit a felony

Dorwain Bess, a 45-year-old businessman of Bel Air Park, Georgetown was arrested by ranks from the Police Major Crimes Unit at CID Headquarters, Eve Leary on 2022/08/26 and charged today  with Conspiracy to Commit a Felony Contrary to Section 33 of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01, the police said.

DPP wants magistrate to recuse herself from Bascom case

Police Legal Advisor Mandel Moore did not turn over video evidence in the cybercrime proceedings against Detective Sergeant Dion Bascom as he was expected to this morning and the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has since written to the Chancellor seeking to have the presiding magistrate Leron Daly recuse herself from the matter.

Management conference set for case against Ali over delayed Chancellor, CJ appointments

At 9 this morning, High Court Judge Damone Younge will be conducting a case management conference (CMC) in the action filed by the main opposition APNU+AFC contending that President Irfaan Ali is in “gross dereliction and abdication of the duty” and has no “lawful excuse” for not consulting with Opposition Leader Aubrey Norton, on the substantive appointments of a Chancellor and Chief Justice.
