The National Assembly last evening passed the Supplementary Appro-priation Bill No.3 which gives approval to the Government of Guyana to access $1.8b from the Contingency Fund and the green light  for over $24b in supplementary funding.

Ray Yokum, a 41-year-old unemployed man of Lot 58 Lime Street, Werk-en-Rust, Georgetown, was arrested on 2023-12-17 by a rank from the Lusignan Police Outpost and charged yesterday with the following offences: (1) Possession of Narcotics for the Purpose of Trafficking, contrary to Section 5(1)(a)(i) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Control) Act, Chapter 10:10 (40 grams of cocaine).
