Paving works to be done on Hubu Main Access Road

The Ministry of Public Works says that from tomorrow, Thursday 4th January 2024 to Friday 5th January 2024 (Time: 21:00hrs to 03:00hrs), Asphaltic Concrete paving works will be conducted on the Hubu Main Access Road, East Bank Essequibo, Region #3 (Parika First Koker to Nancy Bar).

Body of Santa Cruz miner pulled from river

The body of Owen Smith Jnr aka ‘Tonkie’, a 25-year-old miner of Santa Cruz Village, North West District, Region One,  was yesterday pulled out of the Barama River at about 7:30 am by the police with the assistance of relatives, a police report stated.
