PPP/C says jobs to be priority if re-elected

The PPP/C says job creation will be its “highest priority” if it is re-elected at the May 11th general elections and President Donald Ramotar yesterday said a robust five-year plan has been structured to ensure improvements in every sector of the country so that all can be assured a better life under his government.

In new manifesto, PPP/C seeks to keep old promises

If re-elected next month, the PPP/C says it will once again seek to realise the Amaila Falls Hydropower project, the Cheddi Jagan airport expansion and a specialty hospital, for which the Donald Ramotar administration was unable to woo opposition support in the National Assembly during its truncated term.

ACIC did not endorse APNU+AFC

The APNU+AFC Coalition says while it participated in cordial meetings with members of the Muslim community including the Anna Catherina Islamic Complex (ACIC) the groups did not endorse the coalition.

May 11 is about saving Guyana

APNU+AFC Coalition prime ministerial candidate Moses Nagamooto told an enthusiastic crowd at a rally at the Vreed-en-Hoop Stelling, West Coast Demerara on Friday that the May 11 “election is about saving Guyana…” Vowing that a coalition government would increase old age pensions and salaries, he said “if we go in there and find money in the Treasury, the first people we will think about will be our senior citizens.”
