VICE News claims will be probed – Benn

While it has not commenced as yet, Minister of Home Affairs Robeson Benn yesterday confirmed that the allegations of corruption and money laundering involving Chinese nationals operating here made in two VICE News reports will be investigated.

Individual events saw great displays of sportsmanship

Owen Verwey, President of the Guyana Squash Association, said yesterday that the individual singles competition of the ongoing Junior Caribbean Area Squash Association (CASA) championships witnessed great displays of sportsmanship, adding that he envisions a very competitive team tournament.

Fire wrecks Linden house

A MacKenzie, Linden home was wrecked by fire on Monday. According to a Guyana Police Force (GPF) press release, the fire occurred at about 7:45 am at Lot 451 Moraballi Street, MacKenzie, Linden.
