Cops suspect murdered brothers were tortured

Autopsies performed on the bodies of Ian and Rakesh Matthias, the two brothers whose bullet-riddled bodies were found on Shell Beach, in Region One on Thursday, have confirmed that they both died from multiple gunshot wounds and investigators believe they were tortured prior to being killed.

Journalist’s killing fuels ire of Haiti protesters

PORT-AU-PRINCE,  (Reuters) – The killing of a journalist who had closely covered Haiti’s political and economic crisis fueled the anger of protesters yesterday, as they clashed with police and pressed calls for the president of the impoverished nation to resign.
