Mahaicony residents in deeper flooding

A second round of spring tides in less than a month saw Mahaicony residents complaining that yesterday’s flooding was even higher than that at the end of September even as the authorities continue repairs to breaches in an eroded sea dam.

Avinash Persaud Sunday cemented his place as the best golfer in the country after winning the Guyana Open for a record tenth time while Guyana-born Barbadian, Julia Stephenson, shocked the female division on her way to the title.

Dep’t of Environment urges adoption of measures to ease transition from single-use plastics
