Permaul fires as Jaguars stretch lead with innings win

TAROUBA, Trinidad,  CMC – Left-arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul snatched three of the four remaining wickets to end with five in the innings and nine in the match, as Guyana Jaguars routed Trinidad and Tobago Red Force by an innings and 217 runs in their fourth round match here today.

Public debt up by $12.9B

Guyana’s total public debt increased from $317.7 billion to $330.6 billion in 2016 but the total debt as a percentage of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) declined to 46.4% from 48.6% at the end of 2015 due to a nominal increase in the GDP.

The crocodile strikes

‘Have no fear’

The Public Service Appellate Tribunal, which is already examining five cases, is urging public servants who feel that the Public Service Commission (PSC) has not done justice to their respective cases to seek redress.

Petrotrin paid for ‘fake oil’

(Trinidad Guardian) It is now official. Two external audits have confirmed that there was a discrepancy between reported oil production in the Exploration and Production Operations in the Catshill Field operated by A&V Oil and Gas and the actual production receipts at Pointe-a-Pierre discovered by Petrotrin’s Internal Audit Department in the period January to June 2017.
