High Court closed for sanitization

As of yesterday, the High Court in Georgetown and its offices will remain closed until next Monday—January 10th—to effect sanitization “as a precautionary measure given exposure to the Covid-19 virus.”

Two fully vaccinated men are Guyana’s latest COVID-19 fatalities. This was revealed by the Ministry of Health in a press release which stated that the country’s total deaths as a result of the virus increased to 1,058.
