Ghanaian President Nana Dankwa Akufo-Addo yesterday stated that while the government here should pursue ambitious policies for the sustainability of the oil & gas sector and its co-existence among other industries, if the concerns of some stakeholders are not properly represented, ventures should not be pursued.

Two more COVID deaths registered

Two more COVID-19 deaths were recorded yesterday. This was revealed by the Ministry of Health in a press release which stated that the country’s total deaths increased to 1,196.

One freed of killing schoolboy at Covent Garden

One of the two young men accused of the 2017 killing of school-boy, Brian Charles Yearwood, was yesterday freed of the charge after a no-case submission was upheld in his favour; while the other will know his fate on Thursday after facing the jury.

AFC says gov’t lacks capacity to market oil

The Alliance For Change (AFC) has cautioned the government against getting involved in the direct marketing of crude oil, saying it does not have the expertise, administrative infrastructure nor logistics to successfully undertake such an initiative.

Truck snags harbour bridge traffic

Motorists traversing on the East and West Banks of Demerara were faced with traffic disruption yesterday afternoon heading into last night after a truck broke down on the Demerara Harbour Bridge (DHB).
