Another Republic Bank customer reports hacked account

Another one of Republic Bank’s customers is calling for the bank’s swift intervention to retrieve money that has gone missing from his account due to unauthorised online transactions and the bank in a public notice has since announced that transactions proven to be fraudulent will see reimbursement.

These areas are critical for electoral reform

Dear Editor, The work being done via the electoral reform project should ensure that these critical areas are reviewed for improvement and implementation: (1) The house-to-house validation of all eligible voters within a doable timeframe; (2) The use of overseas ballots by those Guyanese nationals outside of the country; (3) The ability to form partnerships or coalitions after the votes have been counted; (4) The publication of the initial statement of polls (SOPs) within a predetermined time frame; (5) A predefined recount process, and, (6) A clear outline and limitation of the role of the Returning Officers and the Chief Election Officer (CEO).
