CARICOM Heads call for end to Ukraine war

The Heads of Government of CARICOM remain deeply concerned at the severe impact of the ongoing invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation on energy, nuclear security and safety, the environment and global food security and today called for an end to the war.

FITUG calls for talks on livable wage

FITUG Treasurer Seepaul Narine yesterday said that there should be an equalizing between the private sector and public sector minimum pay and he called on the National Tripartite Committee to initiate discussions on a livable wage for workers.

Police probing death of man at Quamina St guest house

Commander for Regional Division 4 ‘A’, Assistant Commissioner Simon McBean, says that ranks are investigating the ‘unnatural death’ of Umar Ally, a 49-year-old of Lot 221 ‘B’ Field Pattensen, Greater Georgetown which occurred in Room 104 of the Quamina Guest House located at Lot 126 Quamina Street, Georgetown The death occurred between 14:05 hours and 14:15 hours.
